Dr. Stahl graduated from Johns Hopkins University with an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering. She later received her medical diploma from the University of Missouri, Columbia School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
She has served Children’s Hospital on their medical executive board for two years on two occasions. She has also served for the past 10 years on the St. Louis Children’s After Hours Advisory board. She was nominated and elected to the Washington University Medical School Medical Executive Board as the community physician liaison 2021-2023. She was honored to serve 2 years on the Journal of Pediatrics Editorial board from 2010-2012. She is an avid marathoner and spent multiple years serving on the St. Louis Girls on The Run Executive Board. She participates in clinical research regularly and has published journal entries collaborating with WUPAARC, Washington University Pediatric and Adolescent Research Consortium.
Dr. Stahl resides with her husband and 3 children in St. Louis. When not in the office or with her family, she is likely in the swimming pool or running laps around Forest Park, frequently training for the next race!
Dr.Liling Lai was born in Taiwan and grew up in Brazil. She received her medical degree from Universidade Federal do Ceara in Brazil and went on to complete her pediatric residency at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Lai has been in practice since 1991. She is board certified with American Academy of Pediatrics, and she served as assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at the University of Miami School of Medicine for 9 years. Dr. Lai enjoys travel, knitting and fitness. She has lived in many states with her husband.
Dr. Sarah O’Grady M.D. attended St. Louis University where she received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and is board certified with the American Academy of Pediatrics. She resides in the St. Louis area with her husband and is the proud mom of triplets.
Kara started working with us February 2016. She is married with three boys. Her favorite hobby is watching her boys play baseball. On your way out of the office, you will stop to see her, she will be the one to schedule appointments, chances are good that Kara will be the one to answer your incoming calls, and route them to the appropriate person.
Kim is who you will see when you arrive at our office. She started with Heartland Pediatrics in September of 2010. She is married and has two adult sons. She checks in your child and can direct you to the correct person to get all your questions answered. Kim is responsible for making sure that proper paperwork is filled out, the insurance information is obtained, and the policy and procedures of our office are explained.
Chrisie has been with us since October 2013, after bringing her children to us as patients for many years. She enjoys being a football, baseball, and soccer mom to her 10 year old and 5 year old sons. Chrisie and her family enjoy football and are dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fans.
Cheri has been with us since August 2003. She obtained her nursing license through J.B. Johnson in 1995 in conjunction with her general education through Alton Senior High School. She is married has three kids, two of which have been diagnosed with autism. She is actively involved in Autism awareness and is excellent in providing our patients with resources for autism education and resources.
Suzette has been with us since January 2003. The experience she has gained through her 12 years as our billing manager, coupled with her training on the job, has made her an invaluable resource to our patients and employees alike. She is married and has a 12 year old daughter and a 22 year old son. She is active in her home, work life.

Debbie is married and is the mother of 3 adult sons. She has been with Heartland Pediatrics since 1999 when the practice began, she wears many hats, and does a great job running the office and keeping everyone in line.
